Special Exception Public Hearing Notice

The Bethlehem Zoning Board of Adjustments will hold a public hearing with Eversource at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, in the Town Hall Meeting Room to hear Eversource’s request for a Special Exception to Article II. General Provisions, Section D of the Bethlehem Zoning Ordinances:

No building or structure shall be greater than forty (40) feet in height from the average finished grade, unless a Special Exception is granted by the Zoning Board of Adjustment.

Eversource plans to replace 39 poles along Rt 302 within the NHDOT Right of Way between intersection with Turner St and Maplewood Hill Rd, from Eversource Pole 351/1 to 351/38. The replacement poles will consist of (2) 55’ tall poles, which will stand 47’ above finished grade, and (37) 50’ tall poles, which will stand 43’ above finished grade.
