Members Present: Chris Jensen, April Hibberd, Dawn Ferringo, Kay Kerr, Tina Lister
Minutes of August 19, 2025 were approved.
AH motioned to go into non-public session. CJ seconded.
2025-43 (CK) Applicant needs assistance for car repair. ($2140) Applicant is also seeking assistance from the Family Resource Center, who indicated they could also offer some assistance. The repair shop indicated that the total could possibly be reduced. CJ suggested that we could cover the balance after FRC’s payment. CJ made a motion that Bethlehem Cares covers whatever FRC doesn’t pay and that the repair shop works at lowering the total amount due. AH seconded. Motion passed.
CJ motioned to come out of non-public session. AH seconded. Motion passed.
DF mentioned the amount of time involved in following up with these applications. AH suggested that we spread out the responsibility among the committee using the Bethlehem Cares email. CJ will create a new gmail account for the committee to make it easier for all members to access. CJ made a motion that the committee takes over the administrative duties from DF. AH seconded. Motion passed.
Discussion ensued about future fundraising ideas, including bake sale, popcorn, etc., at the deliberative session in February, a table at next year’s summer fest, and looking into grants.
CJ made a motion to adjourn. KK seconded.
