Meeting Minutes

January 5th, 2026

In person – Chairwoman Strand, Selectman MacDonald, Selectwoman Knowles, Selectwoman Hibberd, and Selectman Bruno.

Updates and Other Board Business

Parker Road Culvert- Brett Jackson, Road Agent, updated the board that the cost for the Parker Road Culvert project came in at $17,206 which was less than expected and an emergency project.  The board discussed using funds from the road maintenance capital reserve which has a balance of $22,000 or using surplus from the 2025 budget because this project was billed and completed in 2025.  The board agreed to pay out of 2025 operating budget.

SB 593 – Chairwoman Strand continued discussion of SB 593 and HB 707 and read a draft letter to send opposing both bills. Stephen Dignazio asked if the board had a plan if both bills passed and Chairwoman Strand responded that we are working on it and we recognize the concern over legal fees, but it is unclear if there is another option.

Abatement 417-04 and 415-095- Chairwoman Strand motioned to abate 417-004 in the amount of $538.38 and 415-095 in the amount of $1316.  Selectman MacDonald seconded and all were in favor. 

Minutes 12/29- Selectman MacDonald motioned to accept the minutes.  Selectwoman Hibberd seconded and all were in favor.

Chairwoman Strand made a motion to adjourn at 6:30. Selectman MacDonald seconded, and all were in favor.
